Between the 1940s and 1970s Moshe Feldenkrais developed and taught a system of motor organization which has solidified into what is now known as the Feldenkrais Method.

Anat Baniel was one of his pupils and began teaching her own modern development of this method in the 1980s, which has since become the Anat Baniel Method. Much of Moshe’s original work was recorded and transcribed into group movement lessons called Awarenss Through Movement Lessons by the Feldenkrais Guild and Transformation Movement Lessons by Anat Baniel Method practitioners.
