Movement has always been at the center of Robin’s pursuits and practices. An early career in cross-country paved the way for gymnastics in high school, circus performance throughout college, and a career in dance after college. A severe circus injury (a break in the spine at C7) put an immediate hold on Robin's performance career and began the search for pain-free movement. After moderate to little success with a variety of mainstream and "holistic" modalities Robin met Anat and immediately began to study her method.

At Reed College Robin designed and directed original research on human motor learning. Robin maintains a healthy respect for academia and is currently studying the intersection of brain plasticity and human motor learning.

Through the course of his own exploration for pain free movement Robin began sharing what he learned. He obtained a certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine brought his extensive knowledge into fitness. He is a now a passionate practitioner of the Anat Baniel Method, which constitutes a modern development of the Feldenkrais Method and makes this work a regular part of his own training.

Now, in addition to continuing his study of dance, Robin maintains his own health and wellness with running, biking, swimming, skiing, climbing, meditation, and regularly exploring new disciplines.
